World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades boost the base damage and the enchantments of items.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. The Blacksmith can also sell them to you.
The upgrade button can be found on any item. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
When a weapon is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus and an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. The weapon can also gain a number of upgrade components that offer additional attributes or effects and some even have distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools, and most require the equipment to have an upgrade slot available and meet certain specifications. If a weapon piece features an upgrade component within it, it can be replaced with another, but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be found using the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or a high-tier salvaging tool on an item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that increases certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be done four times, based on weapon's level.
When the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be reforged with a number of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied simultaneously and their effects will depend on how rare the weapon is.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the kind of damage weapon does and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
In general, it's best to improve your weapon's damage first. Then you can increase your armour defense and finally the secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not unusual to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon prior to upgrading other gear. This can help increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments that increase a weapon's stats as well as damage.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats of certain weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors and loot drop, or as quest rewards.
Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. In most cases, a piece of armor will be upgraded to next level after an upgrade is applied. This is possible for all types of armor, however certain items are not upgradeable in any way (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).
Most armor upgrades provide a small increase to the item's defense or strength. However, some upgrade components can offer significant improvements in strength or defense, especially when upgrading an epic item.
Certain upgrades offer specific abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can prove beneficial in combat. For instance, they can boost the speed of attack or block. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, such as cutting down on the amount of damage taken while wearing armor or granting the chance to avoid attacks.
Based on the type of armor being used, upgrading an item may require multiple tries. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor that has the base defense of 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each location has a powerful fair who can upgrade a piece of armor for you.
Despite popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. The reality is that some armors provide significant increases in poison, curse, fire or magic damage reduction, which makes them very useful for certain types of builds. There are many other ways to increase the strength of armor apart from upgrading armor, such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger to reduce the total weight.
Potion
When you put a potion into the brewing stand, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effect and can be repeated for more potency levels.
The potions also gain the ability to select a custom color that can be set by the player via the /give. The color affects the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows generated. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color is also applied to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, mundane thick and awkward potions now have a fresh brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness have been added. In addition, there are lingering potions which can be made using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also added is a potent potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue. Problems related to this update can be tracked on the Bug Tracker.
Trinket
A trinket is an inexpensive, small ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a ring, necklace or even a small flag used to mark a boat's yard that is lateen. It can also refer to a gold-plated trinket on the mast of a ship.
This macabre trinket is believed to be influencing the residents of this maze, making them more common. At its current level it makes all kinds of mimic Xx more popular, and gives each floor a Y% chance to contain an ebony-colored mimic. This trinket is priced at a moderate amount of energy to upgrade.
This enchanted Scepter's magic seems to affect the dungeon and increase the likelihood of producing water and grass. At its current level this trinket will make X% of floors filled with water or grass but doesn't affect enchantments or glyphs, cursed weapons or armor, or items generated to aid in the elimination of hazards.

This item, which looks like a newt's eyes appears to alter your vision in a way that goes beyond merely reducing your field-of-view. At upgrade item , this trinket increases the overall health benefits of drinking potions of healing, waterskins, and wells of health by X% and grants mind eyesight on enemies within Y tiles. This trinket cannot be combined with the Heightened Senses.
After you have completed the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by defeating Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
If you have a trinket that requires upgrading then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will affect the trinket, either increasing or strengthening its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you want however it will always be able to produce the same effect.
You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst located at the Alchemy Station. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the power of the trinket by a small amount.
