Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
A specific item can be used to develop specific Pokemon. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often offered as a reward during Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to increase attributes or other bonuses while the equipment being used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an upgrade slot that can accept the component. Most upgrade components require the item to be upgraded to be above the specified level. Some upgrade items have special visual effects that appear when they are applied. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, bought from karma sellers or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post or salvaged from equipment, or acquired as rewards during games.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any kind of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions can be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, and enrichments can be used on some ascended back equipment. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an item will be displayed in the item's tooltip.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters, as well as regular symbols like em and en dashes as well as trademark symbols that are registered.
Each Glyph gives a character boost in their primary stats. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that will influence its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a window that shows the Glyphs that are available to you. You can only apply the correct Glyph to the item you are looking for. Every weapon or jewelry piece comes with a distinct collection of Glyphs.
You can level up Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once a glyph has been elevated to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and will also increase the number of nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be put where they will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonuses in the event that certain conditions are met.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to show the panel in a variety of views. Each view displays the Glyphs using a different font. item upgrades can reduce the number of glyphs you want to see by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process by which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to play an item or character you are interested in. It can be done in order for you to increase your level faster or to get more loot, such as the purchase of a new weapon for your character. A lot of players will play until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of its power. It could be because they like the style or the personality of the character.
When you reroll, you need be sure that the changes you're making are clean. You should test locally to see if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue with an unmodified diff (see What is an interdiff? ).
Rerolls can be weeks or days long, depending on how lucky you are. During this period, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to save time. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests that you can complete later in the game. This will save you time and energy.
When you reroll, it is essential to be aware the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. Additionally, it is important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling isn't a necessity but it's a way to increase your chances of obtaining a certain character or weapon. It is a great option in the case of trying to find the most effective character or if you want to try out different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets can be used for operations such as intersection, union, and difference.
Upgrades make a set better than it was before. For weapons and armor this means it will gain an increased base defense value as well as a lower strength requirement and a lower requirement for level.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to the same level as those in higher-end sets. Upgrades like Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense by 217 up to 321 and lower the strength and level requirements to a more feasible range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Exceptional and Elite in their individual ways and do not require upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may benefit from an upgrade to increase their stats. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
